Hardware Requirements for Specify 6

Mac OS X

• 2 GB Memory preferred, 1GB Memory (Minimum)
• Intel processor required with Leopard Version 10.5.4 or higher (also see Java requirement below)
• 60 MB free disk space for Specify 6, ~100 MB disk space for MySQL. Ideally you should have a 1/2 GB of disk available.
• 1440x900 or 1280x1024 screen resolution preferred, 1024x768 minimum

Windows (XP and Vista)

• 2 GB Memory preferred, 1GB Memory (Minimum)
• Most any processor purchased in the last two years
• 60 MB free disk space for Specify 6, ~100 MB disk space for MySQL. Ideally you should have a 1/2 GB of disk available.
• 60-80 MB disk space for Java 6 install
• 1280x1024 screen resolution preferred, 1024x768 minimum
• We do not recommend using Specify 6 with any XP release prior to SP2. We have not tested and do not support NT or Windows 2000.

Linux
