 • label viewing problems

Sometimes, when my students go to print labels, the print view (after choosing the Print button in the Custom screen), comes back with "invalid"'s all over the place. When I log in as Admin to view the labels in Rave (using F9) they look fine once, but if I close the label, then hit F9 to view it again, everything is blank. I have to close and re-open Rave to be able to see the label with all the data again.

For the first issue:
It could be that the dataview needs to be refreshed. There are instructions in the Specify.chm. Please contact us at specify@ku.edu if you have any more questions about that process.

Another related possibility that I have seen is that changing users for the search is resulting with the need for the dataview being refreshed. This does not usually happen, but I have seen a few cases. Some possible work-arounds. Have the same user open and run the report. OR create a duplicate search with a different name to match up with a duplicate report that has a different name for each user.

For the second issue, re-opening is probably causing the Specify or Rave system to lose track of the data. If it is Rave, there isn't anything we can do about it. But we will look into the issue.

Thanks for letting us know!
